that could be pretty handy.  I use the big green spots to see where there 
was a thermal/lift and would probably also use marker to mark landing spots.

There is already a MARK DROP function in the NAV menu for thermal marking. 
If
there was an option to assign the drop as an instant landable waypoint it
would show green when still in range and could be selected as a GOTO.
