Well to be honest I hate to read more than a few lines for concepts that can be better explained by sketches, concept drawings or screenshots. This is not about programming yet, but about finding a concept that works well with the rest of XCSoar.
Have a look for example at http://imagebin.org/242926 to see what I mean. The truth is that I don't know yet either what exactly it is that I would want. What I do know is that these examples of the LX5000 or our LK8000 sister project have interesting concepts and that we could probably learn a thing or two from them in this case. The question is how do we integrate this with XCSoar and make the application easier to use in the same process?
