The kernel I built has only been tested with Host mode - it's good to know that the Wifi works, but i'm quite surprised OTG works as I removed the compile options for it when building, are you sure you've got the kernel loaded?
The fix to build the kernel with host mode is in the git repository. The rest is basically a clone from the original Kobo sources, with an updated kernel config. If you run "make CROSS_COMPILE=arm-none-linux-gnueabi- ARCH=arm menuconfig" you should be able to see what is and isn't configured. I did have a disk corruption 'issue' which made it tricky to get it all into git, but I'm pretty sure it is all there now!
