For bringing up and maintaining the Dutch translation for almost a decade, Pjotr certainly deserves credits. And I can also understand that you would not let a complete stranger loose on those translations. But the welcome could indeed have been a bit more friendly and/or explanatory.

I have some previous experience with translations on Crowdin and there translations changes do not overwrite previous ones, so nothing gets lost. Translations can be voted up or down and be approved and they just let anyone in, seems to work. I just assumed Transifex would be similar. If Transifex does not have such mechanisms and just replaces the old translation with the new one, I can understand the hesitation to allow access. This is also addressed at the bottom of this page:

I am willing to provide a sample for the mentioned file by email if that would help. But I see this as just an 'entry test' and not something that should be continued for future changes, reasons already given by Elishai. So if you will not grant access after some 'approval', please say so now, so I can spare me the effort of providing you with a sample.

Regards,

Stef
