I think regarding selling the app, when it is already open source (GPL) 
would be limited to a notional fee.
Personally I find the whole App Store thing an opportunity for less 
scrupulous would be software developers to flog any old stuff.
Xournal is a high quality piece of GPL software that is very stable. 
Portability is a potential strategy for it, particularly with the mobile 
/ tablet space. However as you have noticed, the precision available on 
a touch UI is lower than that available with a dedicated non-display tablet.
