I get mad at floss away bags because the skeins *always* tangle, no matter
what I do. That's why I went to bobbins in the first place...I was wasting
more floss cutting out knots. As for partial pieces, they get wound on the
bobbins as well. I generally use two strands of floss for all XS and one for
all BS, so leftover lengths are always in ones or twos, and much easier to
find than in a tangled skein of bags.
Mom used to use floss away bags till she saw my bobbins. Now I have a whole
bunch (somewhere) of her floss away bags gathering dust. (unless I pitched
them, which is a possibility, I *did* clean the house right before New
Year's...)
OTOH, the only things I've bobbined so far are my DMC and (when I use it) my
Anchor six strand embroidery floss. I don't bobbin the specialty threads, I
was taught how to retwist them at my LNS and I have gotten pretty good at it.
I don't use enough of any of that at a time to get snarled, and the twists
don't seem to snarl as much as the DMC horrors anyway. :) Ask me next week how
I like the way Kreinik packages their silks...I'm diving into a project using
them as soon as the current headache, er project, is out of the way. <g>

Cal, it just pours)
