I saw a "Twelve Days of Christmas" in McCall's and decided to try to stitch
it. It is big on 18 ct (I think) and looks like a tree--with the partridge at
the top. At the time I was dabbling in crewel and other crafts that I didn't
find great. Fell in love with watching the picture develop and the rest was
history. I think I really love starting with a blank piece of cloth and watch
the design come to life. I still hang that first one every Christmas.
