Thank You Thank You Thank You all!
I grew up with a mom who could create beautiful things in any medium,
needlework, oils, acrylics, furniture refinishing, dressmaking, the list
is endless. My dad was a hat designer and had a great voice. One
brother was musically gifted and the other the local football star. I
have no gifts. Now at the age of 42, I realize that I love cross
stitch. I needed a hobby to draw me away from workaholism and other
destructive behaviors. I just decided it would be counted cross stitch
and I was right. I hope I never put it down. I like being about to
follow the instructions and create my own beautiful work of art.
Thanks for all the great stories. Not only do I love doing cross
stitch, I love reading about all aspects of it and anything related to
it.
