<< What Turned You on to XStitch? >>

Hello I have enjoyed reading everyones posts on the list we my story
on how I got started cross stitching is that growing up and spending
time with my grandmother on my mothers side i got interested in
anything that dealt with making anything my grandmother crocheted and
knitted and emboidered and she made dolls and stuuf clowns and bears
and anything else you could possibley think about but she didnt do
much cross stitching but she taught me how to emboider and I then
ended up buying a cross stitch kit of a rainbow and sail boat at the
age of 7 with my allowance and read the instructions many times and
could not ever unserstand what they meant for me to do so i asked my
mother and then my grandmother and finally between all of us we
finally figured out how to do it and I have been cross stitching on
and off since then I have cross stitched more in the last 7 years
since I have been married ( i guess more time to sttich and not out
running around with friends like when I was single lol) anyway I also
enjoy minor chrocheting and quilting and fabric painting and do a;ot
with plastic canvas. The only thing about being a stitcher and being
married is hubby says when do you think you ever have enough ( I just
grin and say you can never have enough lol lol) but now he cant
complain much as he has started making dream catchers about three
years ago and he buys for his stash quite often and I asked him when
do you think you will have enough stuff lol lol he has not ever asked
me if I think I have enough lol well I will not bore you with no more
of how and what we do. Thanks for lots of input and ideas on things.
Happy Stitching .
