During development I prefer the English/American layout,
most people I know prefer it, as {[]};:\/'" are easier
to type, at least in comparison to a German (laptop)
keyboard ... 

I have no objection about your example, I only tried to make
a point about selecting keys for bindings, i.e. only use
sequences matching [^a-xA-X0-9 ]+  as a last resort.

But I also agree to Marks prefix opinion, being to some
extent "consistent" with pcl-cvs, dired ...     

But, anyway I will stick to Marks behavior, i.e.  I'll just
learn them again if they change ... 

And from time to time I will make some noise ... ;c)
