I work with three different keyboards, and it is enough that z/y are not the same on all, using keys not in the range [a-x0-9] really is a PITA. All the modifiers are located on different positions on each key board, essentially only [a-x0-9] and (when xmodmaped) Shift are at common locations. C-c is a good thing for log buffers etc., but in all other buffers where we are not supposed to edit text, but to execute commands, please use as few modifiers as possible ;c) Robert
