Hi all,

i will work further on kat off course .. and we can include it if it is needed .. but so far i dont have an impression from kat .. that it is totally stable .. but we'll see .. it might also be interesting to build beagle as well .. this will take some time still .. i already looked a bit at what it needs as deps .. and it used different deps from kat .. so this will take some time as well to build beagle with proper plugins .. the same goes for kat .. there are a few plugins missing still .. not so much anymore though .. i am happy to say .. for now ..

Did anyone follow the Kororoa issue with nvidia and ati drivers on the livecd iso .. maybe it is best to download these drivers from yoper ftp server after installation or during installation to prevent legal issues .. i guess the same goes for mp3 and the nonfree stuff .. just an idea .. feel free to comment .. on this :)

Regards,

Johnbon

Luckily it now comes packaged with openoffice. I installed it using the
source method but found that I had to add the path to the profile. The
issues around openoffice is the way it integrates to the entire system. Take
a look at the OpenOffice spec in the Fedora project and you will see that it
has the potential to become really integrated. It works fine with out all
the complexity but it leads me to wonder why would fedora go through all the
steps to integrate it so much if there weren't significant benefits?

Xgl is cool to look at but will require Video drivers to support 3D so if it
is included it needs to be optional since a default Xgl might make it
impossible to get working if the drivers were not set perefectly from the
begining.

Just my 2 cents.
