thanks k..good info..merle
While generalizing on ages, I am reminded of the rarely spoken of (very
roughly) seven year cycles of the seven chakras.*
Counting from conception, +/- a year or more, 42 is arounde ending
of the 6th cycle - third eye chakra - things mystical coming to
attention - and beginning of 7th. Hang on around 49! Boom! Then
the return trip- revisiting and deepening of experiencing (note
many who awaken do not teach much for 10-15 years - when in
another throat cycle. A profound awakening before 7th cycle may
reset the timeline and kick off the descent - but once open none
"close' - but rather they describe an emphasis rather than an
evolution as on ascent).
Not coincidentally it is traditional in India for some men to set
aside worldly affairs (ideally when business matters are
mature/stable, children are grown) and begin a more contemplative
existence around 48. This has more to do with available
time/resources than anything - but so it is in the West today.
1. 0-7 - Root - Sensuality/security/stability (infancy to early
childhood)
2. 7-14 Sacral - Emotions/pleasure/reproductive functioning
(Childhood to puberty)
3, 14-21 Solar plexus - Personal power/growth/metabolism/energy
(puberty to young adult)
4. 21-28 Heart - Union male/female, love, compassion (fist
marriage, career development)
5. 28-35 Throat - Communication/Expression
(professional/relationship development
6. 35-42 Brow/Third eye - End of duality (interest in more
'spiritual matters' - also divorces/major changes)
7. 42-49 Crown - Pure consciousness (increasing maturity/clarity)
Then back 'down'
-6 - integration
-5 - teaching writing managing
-4 - compassionate interaction
-3 - transfer/shift of 'personal' power (semi-retirement)
-2 - "Golden years" (2nd childhood - good & bad!)
-1 - Dependency, loss of bodily stability, death
Oops, wrong forum! More off topic BS! *L*

* - Rarely spoken of, as I just made this telling of the tale up -
well, sort of...
