Mike,
A-theist is just the proper term to apply to someone who does not believe in a
god, or even the possibility of a god.
I personally wear the term as a neutral-grey feature of my personality.
And yet I understand sympathetically where brethren and sistren come from when
them embrace the possibility of a god.
When they embrace the REALITY of a god, though, I back away, and hide my poetry
books, in case they send the God Police over.
Too many Literalists: of Religion, and of Science.
Let THAT be my epitaph.
Love to all you guys,
--Joe
PS I know some who believe in an "impersonal" god, who created them, and then
went the fuck out for drinks. I like those folks a lot.
