Dear Agnes, I think your approach applies to anything, anyone, anywhere. If I found what you wrote here lying somewhere handwritten on a simple piece of paper, I could've easily thought that it was written by a deeply religious person, without necessarily thinking it is a zen practitioner (ha, goes to show how much I know about zen).
