OK, I was wondering if any of you can help me with this question, by
suggesting a Zen-oriented solution (or soulution?).

Perhaps all of us experience rude people when we go shopping?

I went to a pet store, and I was watching an employee handling a couple of
lizards for a few minutes. He was the only one around. I said hello to him
when he finished. He walked away. Then he walked by me again. I asked him a
question. He walked by again. Then he came back to where he had originally
been working on the lizards and I was still standing there and again asked
him the same question. Once again he ignored me and continued to attend to
the lizards. A fourth time I addressed this person. Then I said, "Can you
hear me?" at a louder tone. He looked at me and then continued to work with
the lizards. I then said "Do you have a hearing problem, or are you just
rude?" The guy then said "Did you want something?" and I asked for the
manager, and he helped me out.

As I drove away from the store, I felt pretty pissed off.

My questions are: A) Should I have just left the store after it was apparent
the employee had an attitude? B) Should I have continued talking to him
after he was not responding? C) Should I have just visualized some peaceful
Zen saying and stood there pleasantly asking over and over again for some
help? D) Should I have complained to the manager (on Monday)? E) Should I
have assumed the Lotus position in the middle of the aisle and begun
chanting sutras (or singing Kumbaya)?

What do you do? What would you do?

No flames please.

Thank you.

Al
