"Like the universe however, our true nature is not a "steady state" but
constantly in flux."
 
And to continue the theme:
 
When we get close, we begin to experience "resonance", or what ZB's call
"satori".
 
The challenge we face is constantly to re-align ourselves in order to stay
close to our "true nature".
 
"Satori", "enlightenment" call it what you will, is a very dynamic state.

Rod,  Thanks for your response.  I especially like it because you've 
described zen as a 'method' instead of a 'state'.  That doesn't mean 
it's better than the other responses; just closer to what I mean when 
I say the word 'zen'.
