Interesting, triedthe lsof command on both my test target (Debian) and the zenoss server (Mac). First up, Debian:
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE NODE NAME snmpd 10835 snmp 11u IPv4 86757 UDP localhost:snmp Seems fairly above board. Now, lets look at the Mac: COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME snmpd 221 root 6u IPv4 0x3a92750 0t0 UDP *:snmp A single instance of snmpd is resident on both of them, but the variables listed are obviously different. I am beginning to wonder about the efficaciousness of using the Mac as a Zenoss server. ------------------------ Michael Wise -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11682#11682 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
