The original problem that I mentioned is the problem mentioned in the original post -- I apologize for the confusion.
We have been trying to brainstorm this issue, the only patch we've recently installed across all of our Solaris 10 servers was the Mozilla patch (119115-20) for the Sun Alert ID: 102550 - could that have caused this issue of not being able to boot a newly created zone? It seems like a stretch, but that is all we have at this point.
