Hello people.

Although closely following the email messages closely, and being new to
the project, I can see it is quite impressive.

I would also like to say a few things about proprietary health-related
software in Brazil - or at least, what kind of troubles I have been
running into.

Our supplier insists on using MS. Not to mention, of course, their
solution is not even close to all a hospital needs. Therefore, we are
now starting a substitution project - and Care2x is just about what we
need: reliable, robust, simple, ever-evolving code.

However, I would like to pinpoint something I believe to be of crucial
importance to the success of the project: Care2x must be able to import
all the data available with the previous DBMS, in any hospital. Since
there are lots of brands, versions, and flavours, this will be a crucial
task for the people involved.

Currently, I am studying the best way to export the data out of MS SQL
Server, and import into mySQL (or PostgreSQL).

Any clues?

Later!

Leandro Teixeira
