The American Pit Bull Terrier is not the same breed as the Saffordshire
Terrier. The reason most pit bulls are so nice is that they were bred to
fight all dogs and to never, ever, ever even think of growling at a human
being. What has gone wrong today is that we have idiots breeding pit bulls
who do not understand that at the very first indication of any aggressive
behavior toward any human, the animal must be destroyed at once. The American
Pit Bull was never considered a guard dog. The attempt to use them in that
way has been tragic for the breed. Prudy
