I took the dog in when a bunch of kids could no longer care for it. She
had 8 little puppies, and the heat was on pit bulls. She had been hit
by a car and was a bag of bones; I would not let them in the house on my
new carpet; now, I won't let Maxwell out of the house.
I built a 6 foot stockade fenced to protect here when I found out she
was what they call, a Pit Bull. Pit Bulls were being executed in
Columbus Ohio just for being Pit Bulls. The kids that gave Max to me
told me it was a boxer; and when I found out, up went the fence, and
down went my bank account.
I wish people were more like you Prudy; you get to the truth in a very
quiet and refined manner, showing true sensitivity.
My dog never leaves my side; she now weights 60 pounds - and everybody
around knows Maxwell...but for her protection, I watch her very close.
Thanks....my Vet told me what I had after I shelled out 400 dollars for
surgery - it seems all the kids knew it, everybody but me.
But I do know these - she knows the footsteps of a friend, from the
footsteps of the stranger; she has a keen sense of right and wrong,
played with my cat, and she is the Pit Bull keeping watch over her flock
by night.
