And that is why I say we shouldn't have put the damned fix in in the first place, because it doesn't increase our quality, but introduces risks for our current user base that may depend on the id generation. But since the blasted thing is already in, I don't veto it, but have a *VERY* strong preference it be pulled out, if there are more committers that feel the same way.
