I'm going to jump in here and post my results on ArchLinux. Note: I am using TeX directly from TexLive (https://www.tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html) and not as packaged by the Arch folks. kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFLOCAL /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local kpsewhich -var-value TEXMF {/home/elijah/.texlive2014/texmf-config,/home/elijah/.texlive2014/texmf-var,/home/elijah/texmf,!!/usr/local/texlive/2014/texmf-config,!!/usr/local/texlive/2014/texmf-var,!!/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local,!!/usr/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist} kpsewhich gregoriotex.tex /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/luatex/gregoriotex/gregoriotex.tex I suspect that Br. Anthony is using the TeXLive from Arch (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/texlive-core/) which would explain the difference in TEXMFLOCAL. -Br.
