I have my personal e-mail client up at work all day long. As messages come
in I look at the subject and decide if I want to read it or not. Lots gets
deleted without hesitation.

I never really feel inundated because I'm not compelled to read it all.

I download e-mail once or twice a day on the weekends and only read the few
threads I'm interested in.

By the way I do not use the digest.
