Re: [JAWS-Users] loosing focus in Outlook
Hi Everyone, I have Outlook 10, JAWS 13 and Windows 7, and I have been having some problems with my Outlook program lately. I recently installed Skype and I thought it was giving my Outlook program some problems. What happens to me is that when I click on to the Outlook program it does not go into the program quickly and sometimes I lose focus. Also, sometimes when I am in Outlook, the JAWS stops talking and I need to start over. I have had these programs for many, many years and never had a problem until I installed Skype. I wonder if it is the Skype program that it is causing this? Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 17, Word 2016 and footers
The "link to previous" button that unlinks sections is in the Navigation group of the Design tab when you're in the footer field. It's straight after "previous" and "next" in the tab sequence. JAWS reads it correctly and indicates whether it is checked. I think you probably have corrupt files somewhere on your system, or an outdated version of Microsoft Word 2016. If you don't have any luck in tracking down the issue, try contacting whoever can provide you with either Microsoft technical support or JAWS technical support. Hi Mike, Why do I want to save the changes to the normal template? What is it that I could have done to cause the program to prompt me to save it? As far as I know, I did not make any changes that I am aware of. Thanks, Annette -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Mike B. This isn't an answer to your question, but how to stop that annoying message. While in Word, if you go to Tools, Options, Advanced tab there is a checkbox that you can uncheck, prompt before saving normal template. If you uncheck this checkbox, any changes to the normal template will be saved automatically without bringing up that dialogue. While on the Advance Tab, Alt + O, is the keystroke that will get you there more quickly. Note: you may have to invoke the Alt + O keystroke more than once to get you there. Then, tab to okay, press the spacebar to save your changes & close options. Take care. [JAWS-Users] Slecting two or more placeholders in powerpoint 2013
Hello Guys: Using windows 8.1, Jaws 16 and PowerPoint 2013. As the subject says I wonder if there is a way to select two or more boxes/placeholders in PoerPoint, in order to apply modifications (color, letter, etc.) I tried using F5, but couldn’t get to the ribbons. I also would like to know if there is a way that Jaws would verbalize slide efects, like reflexion, ilumination, shades, etc. I am doing an online urse in this software, and others, and am having some trouble in this issues. According to the course tutor the way to select two or more placeholders would be pressing control key with the left button of the mouse; this is the sighted way. How is this done with Jaws? Thank you in advance. [JAWS-Users] loosing focus in Outlook
Hi Everyone, Has anyone had an email open in Outlook and then your focus goes back to the inbox? Then if I do a alt+tab it will go back to the email I had open. I have had this happen maybe once or twice a day. Has anyone else had this issue. This just started doing this about one or two months ago. I am using Jaws 18, Outlook 2010 and W10 Mr. Ed For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
[JAWS-Users] Strange E-mail Issue
Hello, everyone. This morning, I have discovered a very strange e-mail issue that I could use some help with. As a bit of background: I currently run two e-mail accounts through Outlook 2016. They are my University e-mail account, and my personal g-mail account. When I send an e-mail to a particular e-mail address in my g-mail account through Outlook, I get the following error message: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain by d105412a.ess.barracudanetworks.com. [64.235.150.252]. The error that the other server returned was: 550 Service unavailable; Client host [mail-io0-f173.google.com] blocked by zen.spamhaus.org; 24.231.151.149 (Note: I have deleted the e-mail address from the message in order to protect the person's privacy.) I have no problems at all sending an e-mail to this exact same address using my University e-mail account and outlook. This would lead me to believe that something is wrong with my g-mail account, but I can't figure out what, or how to fix it, especially since I know the e-mail address I'm using is accurate. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dr. Tom Behler from Michigan For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
