I will relate this information to him. But his problem really is not athletes foot, it is osteo-arthritis. Arthritis is what I thought we were talking about. Just rub it on where it hurts, maybe a couple or three times per day? It goes after inflamation, improves circulation, and is analgesic in itself. Just make sure there's nothing on your skin or hands that you wouldn't want carried into every cell of your body -- don't put it on right after applying bug spray in the garden, for instance!! Other people's suggestions for things to soothe the skin between applications may help, too. Be well, Mike D. Okay. So they would have to buy DSMO in a pet or animal supply store? Are there different strengths of it? Is it cream or liquid? Do you just rub it on or can you drink it? Are there tablets? And for another possible option, here in a midwestern city the local health food stores carry it as well. It comes in 4 or 8 ounce bottles at a couple of strengths... about 75% and about 50%... very approximately, as I'm going from memory. It is sold in the stores purely as a solvent with no health-related claims because of FDA interference. Go to www.dmso.org and start familiarizing yourself with it. There are a couple of books worth reading on it as well. Search amazon.com. You'll want to experiment with concentration. If you're lucky you can tolerate the 50-ish percent stuff without itching or temporary skin irritation. Most people can handle 30% easily. Just rub it on as a linament over the affected areas. By the way, tell him that world-class trainers use DMSO on million dollar horses and million dollar athletes, despite the fact that the FDA has its head up its ... donkey. It should be okay for him, too. Hope that helps. Mike D. Re: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver
The FDA has OK'ed DMSO for some uses in humans. It just is more easy to get and cheaper from the feed store or on-line. Just like colloidal silver, the label has disclaimers on it for the benefit of the FDA. As for using a horse medicine; many horses are worth more than many human beings... Sounds like he would rather buy the expensive stuff from the pharmacy, or continue with his athlete's foot fungus. Dan faith gagne wrote: Thanks Dianne, but I don't have a horse. Re: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver
Ted Both my husband and I have osteo arthritis. I have it pretty bad in both hands and knees. With painting the effected areas I have gotten some relief and can walk better. A couple of my fingers I couldn't bend now have some bend to them and the swelling is down. I believe you are right about the cs and dmso. DMSO helps the body to re-absorb inflammation and carry it away. I wrote another post I didn't see show up so I forwarded it back to the group. It has a web site where people are much more knowledgeable about it's uses. We ordered a book I posted also and are in the process of reading it. They have been able to cure cataracts with the use of DMSO and that is one of the reasons we are using it in our eyes with the cs. Thanks very much Mike. I will relate this information to him. But his problem really is not athletes foot, it is osteo-arthritis. Faith G. - Original Message - From: M. G. Mike D. Dianne: Thank you very much for all the good information. I will forward it to my friends who live several states away from me. the help will be much appreciated. Faith G. - Original Message - From: Dianne France To: silver-list Sent: Saturday, November 10, 2007 5:55 PM Subject: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver Faith DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide) can be bought in gel or liquid. The liquid is better for mixing with cs. DMSO is a penetrate so the skin needs to be clean or it will carry whatever is there internal. Full strength can cause skin irritation and some people are more sensitive even when you dilute with cs. We use 50/50 okay without side effects. The face area is much more sensitive and about a 5% or 10% solution is all you would want to use there without irritation. There is a great group site on yahoo for DMSO ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO ). There are a lot of archives there with lots of information. We also use it mixed with cs in our eyes. The DMSO we order thru our veterinarian can be used IV in horses and I feel safer using that mix with cs for our eyes. There is a good book out DMSO Nature's Healer, by Dr. Morton Walker. It explains how to use DMSO to relieve pain, increase circulation, repair tissue damage, and fight degenerative diseases. I hope this helps in some way. Dianne

Thanks very much Mike. I will relate this information to him. But his problem really is not athletes foot, it is osteo-arthritis. Re: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver
My husband used the 50/50 DMSO and CS on athlete's foot and it became immediately more comfortable. He needs to make sure his feet are clean before using and my husband used a cotton ball held by hemostat to apply the solution. He said he doesn't know that it cured it but he is still using this and is not aggravated by it at this time. He had tried the 10% and it didn't do much. It might work over a long period of time but he wasn't willing to wait that long so he increased the strength of the DMSO. Luckily the problem is not mine, it's that of a young neighbour who is a basketball player. His father is a pharmacist and works in the industry, we have had many interesting discussions about Pharma and alternatives. He has finally agreed to try colloidal silver with his son's condition, nothing their GP has prescribed has worked What protocol would you recommend other that spraying his feet, socks and shoes as often as possible with CS? Would DMSO added to the CS make it more effective with this condition? If so, would 10% DMSO be the adequate dillution? Any feedback would be gratefully received as would any other suggestions. I found that there are socks made with silver coated thread, called x-static. I would assume they might work on athlete's foot, I want them to possibly help with nail fungus. Does anyone know a good brand or source? There are lots on google. RE: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver
drink plenty of CS for a year steadily, wash your feet and dry them well daily, for any sox turn inside-out spray them and your feet with CS, coat all around the periphery of all affected nails especially the open edge with iodine or tea-tree oil. you should see clean nice nail growing in from the base steadily until all is clear. don't lighten up on them until it's over. i did, and backslid, but am catching up again... almost all grown out now, probably a few months to go til the last discolored parts get trimmed away. i like diabetic sox for comfort. i see no reason to invest in silver thread as long as i have a spray bottle. -Original Message- From: Tad Winiecki [mailto:winie...@pacifier.com] Sent: Friday, November 09, 2007 8:01 PM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: Re: CSAthletes foot and colloidal silver I found that there are socks made with silver coated thread, called x-static.
