no, its all stock.. the problem is that it moves in an arc... not straight up and down. X- frame cars have a weird axle setup, 2 lower arms, 1 upper, and the panhard bar... I'm looking into replacing the panhard with a Watts linkage...that should solve my problem, plus it will look cool...

Didn't see anyone get back to you on this so I'll give it a shot. Easiest way is relative of course, but I used a Summit Ford-type solenoid and it makes it a snap to connect a bump switch to. No more trying to clamp the GM solenoid behind the headers. See
