I have adjusted the dsp aggressiveness from 1 to 99 , and while noticing
the difference I cannot seem to minimize the NR .
It seems at the lowest setting, to be ALOT of NR. compared to my other radios

at night it dropped to 11.4 before the panel brought it back to 12.4 the
next morning after the sun hit the panel for a few hours...

The DZ transceiver was at Dayton two years ago. Had a booth back by
the GM exhibit. As I recall their manual was an exact look a like of
the old Heathkit manual.
The set was a busy looking set, but with a pile of feature/benefits
including I believe a second receiver option. Interesting the
ed is correct
check the schematic you'll see that there are components still in
line when in bypass.

when i wired both my k2 for Icom mics everything was working fine till.
I used the icom sm-8 .It also grabs dc from the up/down circuit to
power the mic, rather than using the dc bias on the audio line. Had
no audio and it took me a while to figure it all out..

a $1.59 electret mic element from radio shack works GREAT with
all my icoms and my K2s and K3.
And where do the kenwood Icom and Yaesu Mics ( bob's ) come from
from companies that actually make microphones like Primo,
panasonic Foster in JA land. In EU Sennheiser...
you might be able to place an electret element in the case and leave
the original element in there You'd have to rewire since the
astatic has a 3 conductor
plug on the mic housing. I have placed an electret ( small ) in
front of a dynamic AKG element in my current station microphone,
you can just put you call into the memory space with the IM...
then hitting it several times, as many as you need for repeat
( chaining ) ... the display even tells you it's chaining the
memory hits together;
then take over with the paddle...
