Jaws doesn't interact directly with a mail server, so technically it
works equally well with all of them. Jaws interacts with the mail
program you're using.
If you're running Vista, Windows Mail works quite well with Jaws. I
didn't start using Thunderbird until I got my Windows 10 computer,
I'm running later versions of Windows and JAWS (Win 10 and JAWS 18) and
just updated Thunderbird to version 52. It's working fine for me, but
here's a couple of things for you to try.
First, you may have already restarted your computer, but if not, that's
always a good thing to try.
Also,
HTML stands for hypertext markup language and CSS stands for cascading
style sheet.
You cannot "convert" HTML to CSS -- they are two separate things and
perform different functions. You can add CSS to your HTML document to
effect its style, such as font sizes, colors, etc.
AS far as writing
Add the gmail account to Outlook as an IMAP account. This will keep it
separate from your other account and allow you to interact with it the
same as with your primary account.

I'm running Windows 10 Anniversary edition. Wordpad didn't work very
well for me. It didn't seem to translate everything properly. By that, I
mean that there were some characters/symbols that were left in the
document. Specifically in the example I tried, there was a backslash (\)
character at
