I converted your jaws 1 recording to MP3 and by removing frequencies that a human voice does not produce was able to shrink it from 66.4 MB to 18 MB without any noticeable loss of quality as a test. Yes gold wave is a sweet bit of software. Over the years I have used it to record vinyl albums

Just a suggestion is to assign your Jaws hotkey according to the version you have. For example I have 3 different versions of Jaws on my PC. Jaws 15, 16 and 17. I have a hotkey for Jaws 15 as alt control 5, Jaws 16 as alt control 6 and so on. Not sure why you would be having a problem
