sure, we can add a note into the Readme. But - back to the problem you have 
solved with Frank and assumed I understood it right - this would not help when 
the DMG file cannot be downloaded because of the Gatekeeper. ;-)


You can download it and even install it, but the Gatekeeper will stop you from 
executing the binary unless you relax your security settings in System 
Preferences. Franks problem was mainly that he still had an old install lying 
around, and his Dock shortcut still pointed to that one.

Right, but I don't know if we have special Readme's for different 
platforms. Anyway, it is controlled in the SVN code repository.

So, copying to the Readme file and download webpage should be easy.



But a much better approach is to sign our OSX releases.

But I see tons of heated discussions about this topic already back in 2012 - 
were there ever a conclusion to whether the PMC was allowed to request a 
separate AOO signing ID, or if the ASF centrally were able/willing to setup a 
signing infrastructure using a central Apache signing ID? LibreOffice signs 
their OSX releases with a TDF identity.

Must be something wrong with your computer or web browser then. I clicked
the [1] link provided by Marcus, selected MacOS 64-bit and it downloaded
just fine. No ”4.1.2 available-pop-ups” anywhere. Are you really sure that
you actually clicked that link? I seriously doubt it, sorry.

Hi Frank,

As I understand, you have an old version of OpenOffice, and the 4.1.2 “popup” 
you get is from the OpenOffice application itself.

Then, when you attempt to download that version, you are stuck.

So, let us find out exactly where things stop.

1) Finding the 4.1.2 download link
   You browse to http://www.openoffice.org/da/download/, but clicking “Download 
fuld installation” does not give you 4.1.2 Danish
2) Manually selecting version
   Even if you try to select OSX / Danish / 4.1.2 in the three dropdown boxes, 
you are not given those options
3) Performing the actual download
   You have the correct link to 4.1.2 Danish, but you cannot get the .dmg file 
downloaded to your computer
   Once again, here’s a direct link that should work: 
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/openofficeorg.mirror/4.1.2/binaries/da/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_MacOS_x86-64_install_da.dmg?r==1452371781_mirror=netcologne
4) The file "Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_MacOS_x86-64_install_da.dmg” is 
downloaded, but you cannot install it

I have now tried all what you suggest. The only version I can get in Danish is 
3.
I have version 4.1.1. in english. I can manage with that, but the programme 
pups up with announcement that ver 4.1.2 is available, but in vain.

This more for your information. I can manage with the older english version og 
version 3 in danish until it is “debuged”.

Eu já tentei tudo o que você sugere. A única versão que pode entrar em 
dinamarquês é 3.
 Eu tenho a versão 4.1.1. em inglês. Eu posso controlar com isso, mas o 
programa de filhotes com anúncio de que ver 4.1.2 está disponível, mas em vão.

 Esta mais para sua informação. Eu posso gerenciar com o og versão Inglês mais 
velho versão 3 em dinamarquês até que seja "debuged".

I still don't know on which website you are. All I can tell you is that 
the download for OS X (64-bit) in Danish with 4.1.2 is working on [1].

I saw there is a problem with the official Danish downloadpage. It is
giving you a 404-error.

have you used "da" or "dk" in the URL? "da" is the right one.
