Hi there, nice to know you will be at Bristol. The Friday evening
'Lace-in' would be a good time. If you like I will put a spider

Maybe other Guild members could get in touch before Ap. so we could

Well, Weronika...
Are I.O.L.I. Conventions worth it? I don't know if I can add anything to
Alice's lovely and thorough dissertation, but here is another perspective.
The first time I attended a convention it was in New Jersey in 1991. I had

I'm looking forward to my very first IOLI convention this year!!! Hopefully

Wernika,
Please try to convince your husband to go to the convention. The convention
in 1989 was the first one that my DH went to. We spent the weekend in the
Rockies then proceeded to Denver. All the female chit-chat at registration
sent him out of the room, but there were so many things he

I have found out that the Devon Trolly lace will be on display at Fairlynch

I am hoping to go and see this display, not only for the lace, but also to
take a longer look at the museum as it was where my great grandfather was
born. I only

Hello Group:
I'm coming out of lurkdom today because I have a question for anybody who would
be so kind to answer. I've found the threads of messages that I have read, so
far, to be so helpful to my lacemaking. I'm not feeling so much of being a
newbie and perhaps I can add my two cents at

Hi,
I know I picked up a flier at the Weston-super-Mare fair about the Bristol
thing, but I never actually got any further with it, despite it being in my
Easter holiday. Let me know when you meet up. I'm only in Bath, so it's
not far to travel to meet other lacers if I'm free that day.

Legs are bigger than you think, and the longer the lace the better.
I like the garter best which is already assembled, with the elastic, and then
