Hello again
I am a nuisance. I am still having errors even though I shutdown all the
programs which I am not using whilst
I am running Legacy.
It is 2147024882 (80070003) this is how it is presented
Gwen;
I was wandering what operating system you are
running..
This sounds link a W98SE type resource
problem...
I run a P3 with 512M and still ran into this
problem...
It would show some pictures, but not all... or
error 7 out
The problem is the way W98 does memory

Thankyou for that. I have done some major cleaning up of my harddrive, and
still have not been
able to fix my problems. I am still not sure what 'system resources' are
and how to check
them and or fix the problem.
Thanks for your help and interest.

Hi Clarence
Thankyou for your reply. I did wonder about
W98SE as this is what I have.
I have 512 mb of ram, and now have 1.7 GB free
space., and still I am having
trouble. I am also getting an error 91,
now. It seems the more I try to fix or
use the program the more error messages I am

Clarence you can do that by unclicking Show All. Unless you are talking
about the drop down list which can be accessed by clicking the down arrow.

Hi John,
You need Search Search and Replace
Note in the Find where
Location = long name
then there is Location short for the short location name
Read all the options carefully to set up your search and replace.
It's always best to make a backup before doing something you haven't
done before
I can understand why the lady was yelling to leave the list since the system
has to have a flaw and does not unsubscribe. I have been unsubscribing for
days and the messages continue. HELP please... Some moderator for Legacy

Jenny, I don't know if I have managed to get mine set up in a different
way to yourself and Clarence, so I will tell you what I see.
1) I always have the Show All box checked.
2) Initially, on the screen I only see a list of a few very basic
sources eg BMD bur etc.
3) I

Ok, Jenny, we are talking about the same thing. I do not consider 15
excessive and see no reason for changing how it works. If some of those are
sources which you are not likely to use then using the drop down list next
to the input box, clicking OptionsPurge Unused will get rid of them. It is

I am considering getting Legacy 6, but I remember when it was first

John,
You might want to go into your master location list and see what your
Short locations are for those locations you changed.
When doing the search / replace, you have to do the same for the Short
locations as well, unless you want to keep the short locations as they were.

John,
Go to OptionsCustomise. Select the Data Format tab, and look for
Living Indicator (on the right hand side of the screen). Tick the
box, and then click the Select Colour box. This allows you to
select the colour of the number to the left of those children who are
living on the Family tab.
John,
This is possible but the other way around. It highlights the living. It
is only available if you have the Deluxe Version.
Go to Options Customize Data Format. Look for the Living Indicator.
Turn on the indicator by clicking in the box. Select Colours by clicking
on the button to

Hi Les
Thanks heaps for that, I would not think Legacy would put out a program
update which
was not compatible with Win98SE, as most people are still on that, I think.
I am going to do a few more things today to see if I can alleviate the
problem.
Keep you posted.
Thanks heaps

I think you will find that it is a relatively small minority who still use
98SE now. Since then people have migrated to ME and then XP. Machines bought
in the last 5 years will all have XP installed on them.
Hence, Legacy will be aimed at the majority market, whilst trying its best

Hi Jeff,
You are only setting the colour for the Living. The Dead take the
default colours - background and foreground of Family View Panel.
It applies only to the Living Husband/Wife or whatever you've called
these on Family View and the Child Numbers on Family View.
