Have uncovered a problem that locks-up Legacy which was caused when I made
a error entering a To-Do item for an Individual's information screen.
Here's what I did:
1. Entered a To-Do item from the Individual's Information screen
2. Forgot to enter a anything in the Task Needing to be Done
I am a recent convert from FTM to Legacy and trying to clean-up my sources.
I don't understand how or why to use the Source Type. If I have a
master source of Census 1900 New York and cite the county, page number
etc for details, they why do I need to enter census as the type? It

I had previously just left out the relationship but decided it is better to
record everything accurately in my personal copy then use Invisible to hide

a fairly simple text file, with pipes (straight lines) between the

Using the program Animap, I collected the information
for the counties in each state I needed, and added
each state separately, as background timelines, with
the counties creation dates as Events. I have done
work in all of the states you mentioned and 15 more.
I also have a set of encyclopedias,
In my own setup, with 25000 people, and a splitter, I
have created types as various years of census, in each
country I have. It is just an extra level to split
categories. You may never need this tool.

files (with a brief description and the originator's e-mail) for others to
download, but with a caveat that the timelines are not sanitized - use at

having the the Source Citation Report. I have yet to have a response or an
acknowledgement from Support.

discussion I thought I'd take a look at the ones provided with Legacy 7. I
have lots of connections in Quebec and see that there is a timeline for
Quebec history but it's in French! Is anyone out there able to translate
