The only thing that could lend to any confusion at all is the fact that
the old version of dvbscan does not support atsc, but the new version
does. How do we fix this? bump up the version number.

the alsa development tree, this breaks the
backwards compat tests inside the v4l-dvb tree.
You'll have to play around with the kernel version #ifdef's and stuff in
compat.h if you want this combination to work.

... what makes you think the drivers can see the hardware? You are
using cx88-blackbird devices -- these do not have DVB functionality.
You should see cx88-dvb announce the fact that it has loaded itself, but
it will not do anything with those cards.

Do you have another motherboard that you can try? It sounds to me like

I believe that as of today, I´ve caught up on all of the pending
changesets to the megasky tree.

I've gotten rid
for this device is on my to-do list, but it is going to be a
while before I get there.
If you want to help speed along the process, then please take a usbsnoop of the
driver traffic while in windows, and post it to a web server somewhere for me to
look at.
