My friend Alex still has three of his Pentax items for sale: K-7, DA15
Ltd and DA 16-45. He dropped the price a bit on the K-7, too. Please
see his email below if you're interested. I can vouch for his honesty
and the good condition of his items.

The downside, of course, is that you have to own a smartphone, which I
do not. This device is an awful lot cheaper and doesn't charge

I'm thinking about getting Pentax's GPS unit for my upcoming trip, but
I'm wondering how unwieldy it is on the K-5. Specifically, how much
weight it adds and how big it is in relation to the camera itself. I'm
trying to pack light, but it'd sure be nice to not have to keep a

Awesome! Thanks for your reply, Jan. You may have convinced me to go

Hi All,
My friend Alex Lee is selling his Pentax gear. Try as I might, I
couldn't convince him not to switch to a Sony NEX camera. I've seen
his gear and can vouch that he keeps it in good shape. I'd buy the DA
15 myself if I didn't have other plans for the money at the moment. :(

That sounds super easy! I will give that a shot today. My FA50 1.4 has
always had a horrible back-focus issue on just about all my dSLRs, so
it'll be great to finally have that sorted. Thanks for sharing!

Last week I posted about wanting to trade my A 50mm 1.2 for a DA 35

nice little profit on top of it all! The 35 showed up last night, and

The 35 macro would be a great lens for my next trip, but I don't have
enough time to eBay the 50 1.2 (which I never use) to be able to
afford the 35.
Thanks,

I'm looking for a good slide scanning service. Recommendations? Meh?
Rotten Tomatos? Condemnations? Condiments?
You mayo may not relish this idea, but I'd suggest giving your local

Yesterday I shipped my DA* 16-50 off to Pentax/CRIS for repair. It

it could never get a focus lock. Even high-contrast objects would

Before you suggest it was a camera problem rather than the lens, I
