Did seem kinda impractical, imo, to implement something that would use so much power. Producing hundreds of gauss would affect surrounding electronic devices as well, wouldn't it?

This is outrageous and could cause death in some people. 5 gauss for short exposures is a standard even OSHA uses. as a maximum. Hundreds of gauss is something the whole neighborhood could feel.
