actually, you'll need to use something like tattle tech to read the version of the firmware from the rom simm (it will tell you a lot of potentially useful and interesting information about nearly any mac). also, while i did record the information for my 2 machines, i'm not sure where that file is (too many machines and drives, and they aren't networked or organized yet, and most aren't up). however, if you are having random crashes in 8.6 where "the finder has unexpectedly quite" the rom version is the problem, sometimes this will happen several times in a few seconds, sometimes the machine can run minutes or longer without a problem. if you are having another type of crash problem it probably isn't the rom version. i haven't checked my spare roms yet but i'll try and do that soon (you need rom, i need $ and i have more stuff for that series of macs than i need, i'll also try to weigh one and see how much first class mail would be, since that would be cheaper then priority and i'd only want $3-4 for a newer rom simm).

Some people are afraid of the unknown and change. George Bush is not only afraid of change, he is afraid of the present. George Bush's world is based on fear and distrust, he is incapable of trusting anyone or of receiving love and joy. The world only makes sense to Bush when there is a threat, if Al Queda did not exist Bush would have to invent them for the world to make sense to him. Do we want a leader who's life is based on fear and distrust or one who will embrace change and the unknown and lead us with hope into a more joyful future? <http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/news/columnists/9963983.htm?1c> <http://www.leinsdorf.com/2004/Soaries.htm> <http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article6505.htm> -- 1st-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
