:D I'm using a Behringer console, non-musicians and non-engineers are
fine with the quality and musicians and engineers give respect to the
quality I even got with a more worse Yamaha desk I had.

Making the best of the equipment you has got is okay, but this has
nothing to do with the realisation that digital hardware and software
needs to become better and additional equipment, e.g. tube pre-amps will
be a help, just doing digital recordings, without any analogue equipment
won't sound good.

By the way, from expensive to less expensive, I would exchange my
Behringer against a
- Neve
- Soundcraft
- Mackie
with the same functions like my Behringer has got, if someone would like
to have a Behringer instead ;).

That a Behringer is usable, even to get CD quality, doesn't mean that
it's a 100% perfect mixer.
