Can anyone tell me why it is recommended that when needing to scan an attachment it should be sent to Desktop to do it. I understand that it cannot be done anywhere else, but why is the Desktop safe to do it? I am presuming that the Desktop is not part of the HD but what makes it capable of receiving an attachment?
