I use it all the time purely for cleaning purposes and have never had any problems at all. Using the Issues function requires some care but you are always prompted to back up Registry first. The uninstall feature is as described, you either use it or you don't, you could always set a sys restore point before doing so (or get Go Back).
Maybe you had a bad experience with it that you would care to tell us about, did it delete a Concerto (Concerto Cleaner) ? A lesson to be learned here is before installing any new programs make a physical System Restore point as a fall back situation.
