Rick's experience seems to me to be fairly common. I hesitate
to offer suggestions myself on other lists because usually there
is no acknowledgement, or worse yet, the suggestion may be derided
by others. Then I could find myself involved in a unwanted argument.

I have a suggestion for you, Janet. If you used carriage return
when writing to edit line lengths instead of letting your browser
self limit your line lengths, quoting your message in a reply would
not require the replying party to edit those line lengths. If you
examine my reply, you will see where I edited your lines.

As it is, I did not have to edit Ricks' lines, but yours ran off
the page and required moving the slider to read and edit them.
Perhaps some browsers work differently, but most use notepad for
writing in ascii. I use Netscape 7.2. and Mozilla. regards, Jack F

I would agree with you on that point Rick. After all, a solution offered may
not have been able to have been carried out entirely in the same way as it was
given in e-mail and, therefore, there is something further to share for joint
learning. Put simply, if we share our experiences positive, or negative in
fact,
it is to the benefit of all.
