That is kinda what I am thinking.  And somehow I think it is the 
modem.

My personal computer is a Dell laptop and I love it.  It still runs 
Win98 but that is OK 'cause otherwise so many of my programs that I 
use for my web page are obsolete.  My GPS works on the laptop, too.

 I really like that idea.  I sorta had a plan to do that with this 
one; drive C for the programs and E for the personal stuff-but that 
involves 2 different drives.  (I did get sidetracked, tho).
