Hi John, WinXp runs very poorly on only 256 RAM, I upgraded from 256 to 512 on my home pc, but when I can afford it I will upgrade to either 768 or 1 Gig. My system can hold 2 Gig, but of course it only came with 256. I noticed a big difference in performance going to 512 from 256. Debbie _____
From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John I forgot to mention that I am considering the upgrade on 2 Dell desktops. One is a Optiplex GX 100 with approx. 700 Mhz. 256 MB RAM. The other is a Optiplex with 1.1 Ghz. and 256 MB RAM. I am also considering trying it on an old Laptop with 333Mhz. amd 160 MB RAM John --- In A-1-Computer_ <mailto:A-1-Computer_Tech%40yahoogroups.com> [EMAIL PROTECTED], "John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi: > > I am lookin for some opinions.
