I did that. The battery is out and it still shuts down. I noticed a little while ago that it was getting pretty hot. When I turned it off for a while and turned it
back on it seemed to stay on a little longer, but it doesn't stay on for good. The battery has been out for a while. I thought it might be a good idea to try the system restore disk that came with it, but when I put that in it came up with a message that said, "Wrong Machine!" I can't win. Not that it would've stayed on for the entire process any way! _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of JIM Sent: Saturday, September 16, 2006 10:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Toshiba laptop CJ, > Is there any other reason it would turn off? Yes, if the battery looks like a short circuit to the power supply then the supply voltage goes away. No voltage and the computer shuts down. Try it withe battery removed.
