I think Windows will take care of that. Do you have a Windows disk or
a mfg recovery disk.
If you want to experiment you could go ahead and install the disk,
then see how much space is left after the install.
If you could borrow an external HD you could also install the original
drive as a secondary drive. Then boot to see if you can see your data
files, If you leave the Windows disk [new] as C then the old HD will
be D and if any other partitions the following letters. Then you could
determine the total size of the data you want/need to save.

If your computer has a burner you might be able to copy your files to
a CD or DVD from the old drive. Once you do that you could reformat
the old drive, then reinstall it as the primary drive and then
reinstall Windows or run you system restore disk if you have one.
