Hello,

If you can get your hands on a Ubuntu Live CD, I believe it has the 
tools on it to burn CDs so you could boot from the Ubuntu Live CD and 
access your data on the C drive and burn it to CD.

You can download and burn an .iso of the Ubuntu Live CD from here:

http://www.ubuntu.com
