So you think that Warranties are not a good thing to buy? Like a 2 year in
home? With Dell it is useless which is why the Attorney General did a lawsuit.
Dell was making people open up the computer and try to fix it on the phone
before they would send anyone out..which is not good because a novice might not
know what to do and could ruin something..it also wasn't in the contract that
the consumer would have eto do that, so it's considered a bait and switch.

When I bought my IBM Aptiva, the modem was no good. After a lot of back and
forth ( I was totally new to computers) someone did come to my home to
install a new modem on my 2 year in home warranty.

I can't see that buying this Vostro would require me to sign up for any
service as I already have AOL.

Is this Dell Vostro a computer or a notebook? I can't tell. Can you?

Thanks,
Shelley
