swiping identity card is the most accessible way for keeping attendance record. My current and previous organisations are having similar process. If RBI can adopt identity card swipe then other banks and government departments should have any issue. I believe all Indian IT companies are having card swipe process for attendance. Respective government departments can tie up with IT companies and get swipe machines reinstalled.
